THE UPDATES

Cali above,is doing just as good as her bigger sisters although she's itty bitty and still too small to try out an open crib because she needs to be fatter in order to keep up her own temp and that just takes time. She is however by far the best eater and takes the biggest portion of her bottle. lately though she's getting more than her tummy wants so she's been spitting up when she's done. Her body will get used to it soon and she is still gaining weight every single day.
Jocelyn had a bath today and I have to say it went well. I thought she was going to be my fussy child but lately she's been getting this stuff down and not so upset by every little thing. In fact we changed her feeding tube to a smaller one like her sisters have and she is breathing better and that has helped her to eat better as well. All she (and Delaney) have to do before going home is eat all of there bottles at every meal time on there own for 48 hours. Cali does too but she also has to be in an open crib and keep up her own body temp. Jocelyn seems to be getting the eat, suck, swallow thing down now but she gets tired and poops out before her bottles are done.
Delaney is our stinky girl. Not only is she a big time pooper but we've all agreed that hers are the smelliest too. Believe it or not Ryan has changed way more poopy diapers then I have. I'm so proud of him. It's funny though because when we go we're like, I'll feed this one this time, or, I'll feed that one and almost every time Ryan winds up in charge of the one who pooped. In fact until yesterday I don't think I'd gotten one poopy diaper.
So everyone is doing well and has passed all test with flying colors. Even the doctors and nurses who come in say how great there doing and can't think of a single issue or problem the girls may face so for now we're just waiting for Cali to get big enough for an open crib and for them all to start eating like true Brown's do. Because Eating is not something that they will do naturally for a few more weeks we just have to teach them early and wait for the light bulb to click on. Once it does we figure we're home free.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

I really can't thank every one enough. I feel like I just won an academy award or something because I have just had the greatest achievement in my life and the greatest reward I can ever receive and I have sooooo many friends and family who have helped me, blessed me, supported me and most importantly prayed for me and my girls. So I guess If this were my speech I would have to start by thanking God for making each step along the way happen and for always putting the right people (doctors, medical staff, case workers,etc..) in my path at always the right time and for allowing the girls to stay inside me long enough to have a healthy happy start.
Next of course is to thank all of our family members who were all so involved and always checking in on us to do for us anything and everything that we needed along the way and even now that they are here we couldn't stop people from helping and supporting us if we tried. Our girls are so lucky to be in the Brown/Keller family.
Thanks to Jocelyn for keeping up the blog for me and keeping everyone informed and thanks to all the readers who have written in words of encouragement and have faithfully prayed for us on a daily basis. In fact, thanks to all the aunts for their parts in keeping up the blog. Candy for the pictures and Brittany for doing my blog a few times while I had my carpel tunnel. Thanks for my showers Jocelyn, Sandie, Mom, and Ali, and Helpers.
Thank you friends who have called me from time to time through out all this to here about the progress and just to give me support and encouragement all along the way.
All in all I think Ryan and I are Truly the most lucky couple to ever live. We have the kindest most thoughtful friends and family that anyone can ever hope for and because of all of you, our girls will be blessed to have both of us.
THANKS! Please keep praying.

Me and my girls.

Horrible picture of me but I love the way Cali is looking at the camera too. I'm trying to feed Cali who is no longer as interested in her bottles.
Cali in her pretty doll dress.
Don't worry be happy Jocelyn. It's funny because today she was less fussy then I've seen her in a long time. I guess the clothes do make the person.
That's me with my new hair cut and Delaney(without passy) and Jocelyn (with)
So these are of me with the girls from last night (in red shirt) when I went with Candy, and today (starting with the happy shirt) when I went with Ryan. I love to see the girls every day and when I come home I always smell a little bit like babies. I love that smell.

Ryan and his girls.

Ryan, Candy and Tami went this morning to feed the girls and got their first picture together. Sundi had a very long day/night (@ the hospital by 10 am for the morning feeding- lunch with Justin and my mom- parenting for premies class and then still at the hosptial for the girls night feeding. whew!)lastnight and was told to rest today but will feed the girls this tonight. What you see in the pics are Delany and Jocelyn with feeding tubes in and Cail w/o one. Jocelyn had her feeding tube out yesterday but they have upped the amount she's eating and she gets tired during her bottle so they have the tube in again. I think it's cute how eating is exhausting for such little ones! They are doing really well. Delaney and Cali are in an adjoining room from Jocelyn and hope to get a room altogether w/in the next day or so. Sounds like one of the (many) tests for them before they can go home is to be able to eat on their own for 48 hrs..
Sundi hopes to be back on blogger by weekend and is really looking forward to posting. I miss her. She's way funnier than I am.

Can you tell the difference?

Delaney
Delaney
Delaney

Most times I can, but sometimes I can't. Ryan and Candy sent me a ton more pics lastnight, so enjoy. All the girls have a nice glow (jaundice) and so far its been mainly Cali spending time under the lights (see her with her eyes protectors on) to try and get rid of it. Ryan thinks the other 2 might get some time under the lights today. I talked to Sundi yesterday and I know it sounds cliche- but I have never heard her more happy in her life and more thankful. Her and Ryan feel tremendously blessed. She told me that I would be amazed by Ryan and how great he is with the girls. He told her that his perspective has changed. Before the girls he had all these "things" he wasn't going to do (diapers etc.) and he told Sundi Saturday night that there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for each of those girls. Sundi gets out today and the only mention of the girls is that Jocelyn might be able to get out Friday.

Jocelyn

Delaney ??? I think. sorry!

He got the girl, a happy life and now triplets!

My good friend Amy went to our highschool reunion this year and on the wall- were notes we had written to ourselves back in 1997- saying where we would be in 10 years. She found Ryan's note- stole it off the wall and mailed it to me a month or so ago. It just seemed like a perfect time to show it. Hopefully you can read Ryan's interesting handwriting:) While he didn't predict three little girls in his future- he was right about the most important one and that was having Sundi Marie with him and being happy as all get out... and of course the good looking part!

Delaney Ray Brown

I feel like Delaney especially looks like Ryan right now, and do you see kind of what I see? Maybe some red in her hair? We'll just have to wait and see! Ryan said Candy saw the same thing:)

Cali Marie Brown

Sundi's sister in law Candi is doing the best job taking pictures and then forwarding them on so I can blog. She said that the other two girls are swaddled in blankets but Cali is such a tiny peanut so she's swaddled in a burp cloth!

Jocelyn Renee Brown

A new batch of pictures were sent my way... so here they are! More to come with Delaney and Cali.

Jocelyn and her new hat

Are you kidding me? Can you even contain yourelf? Ryan sent me this pic of Jocelyn on his cell phone. I haven't done a very good job of updating, so I'll do that now. I just got off the phone with Sundi and she is feeling much better- she took a shower today and is getting ready for her first non-family visitors. She met the girls for (she doesn't have much memory during the c-section) the first time yesterday afternoon and was able to hold them- feed them and just be with them. Ryan was able to hold and feed them for the first time lastnight. They both can't stop saying how perfect they are. Ryan has stayed each night at the hospital and gets up through the night and visits with the girls and touches them and says hi.
Sundi will get out of the hospital on Monday but no news quite yet on when the girls will get home. I have requested more pics and will update as often as I can.

A bit of a delay

Due to fluid in Sundi's lungs and around her heart, the c-section has been delayed til 6 pm tonight. I'll keep the blog updated. I know so many people far away want to know how Sundi and the girls are!

They are Coming!!!

Sundi is scheduled to have a c-section at 9:30 a.m. today! She had a bit of a rough night lastnight and it was decided by the dr's that it would be best for everyone if the babies were delivered. My mom is on standby to fly out so wish her luck. Sundi is in very good hands with her family and mine. I will keep you all updated as I am!!!

Hotel Hospital from here on out

Sundi and Ryan had an early a.m Dr.'s appt. yesterday- where the girls were weighed and measured: Cali- 3 lbs. Delany 3 lbs 14oz. and Jocelyn weighs 4 lbs 10 oz.! Cali did grow almost a pound this week but she's still only in the 5th percentile. The Dr.'s felt that Sundi was showing signs of toxemia so they have decided to admit Sundi til she gives birth so they can keep an eye on her and the girls. Ryan sends me text messages every couple of hours telling me he's watching Dr. Phil in the room with her etc. and that he'll be staying the night with Sundi at the hospital. I think they are getting pretty ready to meet the girls.

I think I see a Ryan Jr.

Jocelyn, for Sundi... again and again and again
Ryan and Sundi got their first 3d images of the girls. Ryan sent me this one of Cali and I can't help but see Ryan in her. It's quite something!

Wow! 32 Weeks

Jocelyn for Sundi, again:)
Can you believe how big her stomach is and how GOOD she looks? I just saw her 2 weeks ago and can't believe her belly has gotten even bigger:)
Sundi had her Dr's appt. today and again, everything looks great. No more mention of delivering at week 33...we'll have to wait for the next update, but hopefully these little ladies will hold tight for a few more weeks. I just wanted to say to Sundi that I am really impressed and so proud of her. Not sure how many of you have talked to her but we keep in touch most days and every time I talk to her- she's upbeat- positive and happy. She said she actually feels great! Not many women can say that with just 1 baby- this far along! Love you!

No news is good news

Jocelyn, for Sundi:)
Sundi had her weekly Dr. appt yesterday and this Dr. didn't weigh the girls. He did monitor them and said Cali is practicing her breathing and things look good. Starting next week- Sundi will have 2 appts a week beginning on Monday- where Sundi hopes the girls get weighed and measured.
Sundi is enjoying the last stages of her pregnancy at her parent's house- Tami is able to watch and care for Sundi during the day (which Ryan was unable to do while he was away at work) so she decided to stay there til the girls arrive. These last few weeks it's really important that Sundi is on total bed rest ensuring that the girls stay inside as long as possible. Maybe some pics to follow. Sundi said she might have some taken since she got ready yesterday:)

The Heavy weight- Middle weight & Feather weight

This is Jocelyn again, for Sundi
Just wanted to update everyone that at Sundi's appt. last week the girls weighed in like this:
Jocelyn 3 lbs. 5 oz
Delaney 2 lbs. 15 oz
Cali 2 lbs. 2 oz.
and Sundi at... (kidding)
Cali isn't putting on weight like the other two so Sundi has another appt this coming week to determine the next course of action. As of last week, the Dr. said that he may potentially like to deliver the girls in 3 weeks (if Cali doesn't put on weight). Besides that- they all look very healthy and things are going great.
