I need to cut back on blogging

Buster says Hello.
TRYING to listen to heart beats
It's nice to have a little support from time to time.
So While Ryan got to go out with our friends this last weekend for Ally's birthday party I stayed home in bed. However these are pictures of the highlight in my weekend. On Sunday my parents came over after picking up a few things I needed at Babies R us and stuff. They brought a back and tummy support, a heart beat monitor (which will still take a couple weeks to hear anything ) and most importantly a wrist brace. I have recently developed SEVERE carpal tunnel syndrome which hopefully explains why I haven't been blogging much lately and why I have not been commenting on other blogs as well. Amazingly the brace actually helps a ton but I'm thinking that unless the rare occasion comes where I am up for blogging, Ryan is going to do my updates about the medical stuff for me. I will continue to read my comments and all the other blogs as well and because my Carpal tunnel SHOULD go away very shortly after birth I will return after that.

Living quarters

Since I was up and out yesterday to my appointments Ryan had the opportunity to make my bed. I almost never leave this spot. We put out our air mattress so that I would be in front of the TV that has all my recordings as well as a DVD/VCR player. I even sleep on it at night although I actually miss sleeping w/ Ryan but I don't think he's anxious to have me back. Buster doesn't know what to do since she has always slept with us, so at night she goes back and forth from my bed to his and I have to get up w/ her since our bedroom bed is too high for her to jump on. Ryan doesn't help her up since he sleeps through her scratching at the bottom of the bed. I may have to go back to the bedroom just to avoid getting up 4 or 5 times a night. But then again I always have to go to the bathroom when I get up anyway. Although this is a true convenience for me to have a bed out here I can't wait for all this to be over so I can have my house back to normal (no cracks about how my house will never be the same again after the babies because I don't want to believe it).
Well If I don't have anything exciting to tell you about before Tuesday I do have another Doctors appointment then so I'll keep you all posted.

Boring Pictures

So I got to leave the house again yesterday but like and idiot I didn't have my camera charged so these are from when we got back. I got lab work done to check for diabetes and stuff (ever notice that all lab offices have stupid decor like this one had 1980's pictures of unicorns and wild animals) anyway after that we went to my doctors office to see a doctor from the NICU at the hospital I'd be going to. Okay pretty scary stuff. Basically I am now at the stage where they will have no problem recussitating the babies if I go into labor right now at 25 weeks, however until about 28 weeks they are still at the risk for things like Oh I don't know cerebral palsy and blindness, you know stuff like that. Not to worry though because things are really looking good. I am now monitoring my contractions twice daily with a at home monitoring device that my doctor was able to get my insurance to cover even though it isn't usually covered and an at home blood pressure thing and all seems to be really really well. Although the first night we were a little scared because it did show 9 contractions in 1 hour which pretty much means labor. It should be less then 6. When they called they had me do it again and this time drink water first, go to the bathroom and eat something with protein which Ryan already had my dinner ready for me by then anyway. It went down drastically and now that we know I am supposed to eat first and have like a bottle of water I have only been having 1 or 2 in an hour. I'm so glad to have that device since I can't yet feel these contractions but boy does it suck to lay in practically one position for an hour straight twice daily with all the aches in my hips and neck and shoulders and ribs and on and on and on... Isn't pregnancy great!

All dressed up with someplace to go.

First time I've been outside in two weeks
So yesterday I got to break free from my bed rest or house arrest basically. I had a doctors appointment. It was great to get to put on real clothes, do my hair and wear my makeup again. I even was excited to get to ride shot gun since my motion sick husband had to work and it was just my mom and I. They gave me an ultra sound that lasted like an hour and I am a rare breed in the way that I hate long ultra sounds. I like to see the girls but when they run their scope in the lower region it hurts me pretty bad and Jocelyn's head is about as low as it can go. Everything seems to be so far so good though. My only concern is that Cali is smaller then the other two and even though she is still growing and doing well I want her to be at a healthy weight when she is born. Also the doctor says that they will be keeping a close eye on Cali and Delaney because they share a placenta and that puts them at risk for twin to twin transfusion which could be bad in opposite ways for both of them. Not to worry though because that hasn't happened yet and is less likely to happen at this stage, but, I would appreciate prayers that it doesn't and of course that Cali's growth picks up so that when they are born she will be at a much healthier weight. Jocelyn is the biggest at 1lb 8oz, Delaney is 1lb 4oz (which I believe is the average weight for their age), and Cali is 15oz.
As of two days ago my waist is about 40 inches around and today I weighed myself and have gained a total of about 31 lbs or so and I should be at about 30 so I'm right on target now. Yippee!

A visit from Brittany and Justin

Brittany was going to be in our area so she called to see if she could stop by for a visit. Ryan was thrilled that Justin was along for the ride and wanted to take him to pick up McDonalds (I think Ryan's been liking my special diet a bit too much). Turns out Justin has never had McD's before and let me just say that he is now a fan. Poor Brittany just watched as she's doing good on her Weight Watchers. Sorry Britt. Thanks for coming and breaking up our day. Always a pleasure.

This is me at 23 weeks and 4 days

This last picture isn't a good one but I thought it was funny cause if you'll notices Buster's a blur in the background. That's because its her in action with Mr. Humpy Bear.

Baby Owen! Sorry I couldn't decide on pics

Owen has the longest feet and he's always flexing and spreading his toes. I love it!
Uncle Ryan's getting his practice for his 3 girls to come. He's too close to me so the pictures didn't turn out well.
I got to feed him and look at those toes again. He was hungry. I burped him after and he pooped as well. No diaper duty for me yet so I passed him back.
Aren't they cute? I need one of Wyatt too but he was with my mom at Chad and Candy's.
This is when he first arrived at our house and he was very sleepy
I decided to bite the bullet and sit up for a little bit
He's already very alert when he's awake and he's quiet too. Doesn't really cry.
He definitely looks like Candy and her brother where as Wyatt looks like a Keller. Candy thinks he looks like Chad but this is my blog and so I say she's wrong. Either way he's perfect!
Congratulations Chad and Candy!!! Another beautiful baby boy. Thank you so much for bringing him over to see me on your way home. I love him! He is such a good baby and I'm so excited to have my kids, get off bed rest and spend time with my new nephew. please come by often with Wyatt in the meantime. I love you guys!

Unrelated pictures

Ryan and Jocelyn in our Kitchen. Must be Ryan's long hair phase.
Bennett and Ryan trying to hit a few golf balls before dark.
That's Ryan on a horse on the Beach a couple of years ago in Cabo. Chad and Candy are on either side.
So since Jocelyn is now bored of my blog and I have not gone anywhere or had anything to take pictures of I thought I'd post a few old ones of her most favorite person. Meanwhile I do have something Blog worthy, just no pictures to back it up since I'm stuck here and all, Candy is getting induced tonight at maybe 10:00 or so. So sometime tomorrow I will have a new nephew named Owen. I'm so excited but selfishly I'm sad as well because I don't get to be a part of it. I will not get to visit in the Hospital but Ryan will go and take lots of pictures for me and Candy said My house will be her first stop when they get out of the hospital. Still it doesn't make up especially since I was in the room when Candy gave birth to Wyatt. That was so Awesome, I remember it perfectly. Well congratulations to Candy and I can at least pray for you guys from right here. Love you!!!!! xoxoxoxoxo

Bed rest and fast food

Shitballs, I'm on bed rest!!! But at least I was also prescribed milk shakes and fast food. So I had my first doctors appt. with the specialist and things went pretty well. Everything is so far so good but the doctor put me on bed rest as standard procedure for a case like mine. I'm with the Phoenix Perinatal Associates Group which is the # 1 in the nation and will be delivering at the Good Samaritan, the # 1 hospital in the nation for multiple births. The doctor says that by putting their patients on bed rest is one of the reasons that they have such a fantastic success rate, and for now all I am allowed to do is go from say the bedroom to the couch, go to the bathroom, sit up while I eat, and take one shower per day.
I also am supposed to get fat. He wants me to get as fat as possible because I will soon be so full of babies and I will not be able to eat and the babies will need to live off of my body fat. I should gain 50 to 75 pounds and 75% of the weight should be gained by week 24 before I get too big. Problem is I've only gained like 22 pounds and I'm already 22 &1/2 weeks along so I am way behind. I wouldn't be except in order to see this specialist I needed a referral from my obgyn and he kept putting it off. He told Candy (my sister in law) who's due next week that the reason he's been hanging on to us for so long is because he likes Ryan and I and wanted to keep us as long as he could meanwhile telling me that I should only be eating 2200 calories, which I didn't believe so I have been eating more than that anyway. My new doctor says to eat Ice cream, fast food, protein shakes, anything that is fattening and has a lot of calories and don't worry about nutrients like getting any veggies or anything like that because I am taking my vitamins. so on the way home from the clinic we went to Claim jumper (my last meal out I suppose) and I got the most fattening burger and a milkshake.
By the way I am blogging this from a lounge chair Ryan brought in from outside for me so I'm not cheating and sitting at a desk.

Nice to have a man around

The nursery is slowly coming together. This ceiling fan light was my Christmas present from my mom and dad.
Buster got a new bed for the babies room. I got the smallest one since there won't be a lot of room in there. If she weren't so over weight she'd fit perfectly but she's obviously not complaining.
So, we got this fan and I thought I'd be able to put this together myself until I opened the boxes and realized I was completely mistaken. Then Ryan looked at it and we decided to find someone for hire to do it for the both of us. Suddenly though one day Ryan just got started and although there were a lot of things gone wrong (I won't bore you with all the dramas) by the next day it was done. Now he says it wasn't that hard once you've done it but I know I still could be staring at the thing blankly if it were up to me and I'm the one who usually puts the stuff together at our house and programs all of our gadgets. So needless to say I was very very impressed.
